My dad has a passat that started to have low power issues. When you let off the brake to take off a lot of the times the car will stall out, almost like something in the trans. We serviced the trans and that didn't help. Found out if you push the gas when you let off you can power thru it and get the car to move. It will get up to driving speed but there is a lack of power. Changed fuel filter. Took it to an independent shop and they thought it was the flywheel. (there was flywheel noise) So I swapped that out last weekend, but there is no change in the power issue. I did some testing with the VAG COM and didn't come up with much. There were no codes present until I tested compression with VCDS. Then the code for bad sensors showed up. I did do some driving and found that it seems to be limiting the torque output of the engine. I hold the pedal to the floor and the request is for 130% and the actual seems to be limited to 40%. My question mainly is what channels should i look at with VCDS to try and see what is limiting the torque? Is there a way to see this info with VCDS? Any specific tests to try and do to figure this out? Charge air actual and specified seem to match up pretty well, so i don't think its turbo. Thanks!
