My dad has a passat that started to have low power issues. When you let off the brake to take off a lot of the times the car will stall out, almost like something in the trans. We serviced the trans and that didn't help. Found out if you push the gas when you let off you can power thru it and get the car to move. It will get up to driving speed but there is a lack of power. Changed fuel filter. Took it to an independent shop and they thought it was the flywheel. (there was flywheel noise) So I swapped that out last weekend, but there is no change in the power issue. I did some testing with the VAG COM and didn't come up with much. There were no codes present until I tested compression with VCDS. Then the code for bad sensors showed up. I did do some driving and found that it seems to be limiting the torque output of the engine. I hold the pedal to the floor and the request is for 130% and the actual seems to be limited to 40%. My question mainly is what channels should i look at with VCDS to try and see what is limiting the torque? Is there a way to see this info with VCDS? Any specific tests to try and do to figure this out? Charge air actual and specified seem to match up pretty well, so i don't think its turbo. Thanks!

My friend's 2014 passat TDI has similar issue. Engine will stall while put in reverse or drive. Lack of power while driving. Only fault for exhaust flap. No clue what is going on. Anybody has similar issue got fixed? Thanks.

I am having this same issue. Replaced MAF sensor and cleaned the MAP sensor. I replaced the injectors also because I had been putting it off for some time because of the hard fuel knock on a cold start. None of these has helped the symptoms listed above. I am getting codes P026A, P0111, P0101,P0104. Has anyone out there experienced this issue?

Update:

Wanted to give an update for anyone who digs this thread up later. I replaced the MAP sensor and it is fixed. Back to normal power/acceleration. I was getting all the symptoms listed above and codes. Hope this will be helpful for anyone experiencing these issues.

This is only applicable to CKRA engines (2012-2014), my 2015 CVCA does not do this...knock on wood!

I just had my friend’s car fixed. Ended up it is faulty charge air pressure sensor G31 as well as air intake temp sensor which is located on charge air cooler right before throttle. Hopefully this update will help.

Did you have any problems nailing down the MAP sensor pn? Between the dealerships, Bosch info and vwparts.com I cant determine what the actual pn or part form is supposed to be. Lots of contradictory info for an MK6 Jetta.

Was the old sensor covered in something or did it look perfectly fine?
It had water and some greasy-looking schmutz on it.
I cleaned it and reinstalled it, but it didn't work. So I got a new one.
I've checked the new one recently, just to see if it was something else that was causing the problem. There was nothing on it.

Deleted it and new turbo, still does it. Tried a different MAF sensor from another car that ran fine, still does it. Dealer checked it over and said that the timing is off slightly. Needs timing belt replaced anyways, so will be doing that sometime. Will try the MAP and see if that helps.
