2012 Passat MAP sensor issue

so my sister has a 2012 Passat. Her MAP sensor is bad. When we put a new one in the car runs even worse. Does the new one need to be programmed in VCDS???

Where did you get the sensor?

I believe she got it from Orielly Auto Parts.

So she's bought 2. First was from oriellys. Second was from VW itself.

Check to see if the wiring is bad, it usually by the oil cooler heat exchanger and can melt wires.

didnt see any bad wires. if we put the original back in it will drive fine but throws codes. if we put the new one from VW in it hardly runs.

Same part #, it's weird that the new one would run bad?

Well it's the oem part number. Orielly has a different number.
