I am looking to purchase this and wonder what the potential weak spots are?
2012 jetta sport wagon reliability?

I have 4 of these -2011-2014 - All CJAA engines, one is a manual.
The #1 issue will be the DPF. Lots of threads here on that. Then maintenance like DSG service & timing belt service. Lastly is the high pressure pump, but if you run good fuel or use an additive like hot shots, you can be ok (I put a CP3 in everyone one of mine,but I drive lots of miles).
If you have a sunroof, it will leak....
The bigger question is why is someone selling....

Get a VCDS read on it. If readiness is not fully set, then it could be they cleared the codes just before showing you the car.
Look for a thread in the 101 forum about DPF by oilhammer, you will know which codes to look for, maybe pending right before setting a MIL.
