Need to replace my lowbeam headlight and I've tried just about everything I can think of for these ba$tard covers. 2012 w/ 102k miles so I'm figuring these covers (both sides of headlights) have corroded or heat-sealed shut.

PB blasted around the cover seams and let sit overnight, tried using channel locks, thin pliers with rubber covering the plastic, somehow manage to break off the bottom part of the RH headlight cover with my hand.

Anyone have any other ideas or tricks on how to get these puppies to come of? From videos I've seen it looks like a simple quarter turn (and yes I checked that I was turning the right way!) but of course it's not happening that way.

Is my only other option to take off the front grill and pull out the headlight assemblies?

Try hitting it with a hairdryer on high, not sure if it will work.

Also, you can try placing a flathead screwdriver and hitting it with a hammer.

Bingo, thanks Philth! Screwdriver busted them loose. Now waiting on Osram to ship me the correct H7 bulbs as my package had a set of incorrect H4's in them.
