Hey everyone - super new the JSW/TDI world, but just picked a clean 2012 JSW TDI with 190K. I'm trying to get this thing sorted out to use as a road trip car. I dont have the $$ to take to a dealer, but I also dont have a ton of time to wrench or research these days, and I'm a little stumped trying to find some info out on a leak I seem to have.

I'm getting 2-3 drips of oil on the driver side floor. Looking at the underside of the car while changing the oil, its coming from the really far side of the enginge (the drip point is actually off the lower intercooler (?) hose for an idea of how far off to the side it is. I couldnt really see too far up the back of the engine from where I was positioned, but seems like a rear seal would be further over. Is this something as simple as a valve cover gasket, or any other ideas for me to try and track down?

Love the car so far and love being back in the forums. Spent a lot of time in the BMW world.

Could be the seal for the intercooler pipe to the intercooler itself leaking residual oil from crankcase gases. Maybe the oil cooler if it’s wet

thank you - from what I could tell it’s coming from higher up, but will investigate the oil cooler. Someone else suggested that as well.
