Can a OBDII Code Reader be used on the 2011 TDI Jetta? I'm getting the fever ....

A standard OBDII reader will read the standard codes (mostly to do with emissions stuff). However, it will not read all of the VW proprietary fault codes. Also 2010+ VWs use a different (UDS) protocol for some control modules like the instrument panel. For any new VW I would recommend buying VCDS (Vag-Com Diagnostic System) from Ross-Tech. For a 2011 model year the MicroCAN model will work fine.
