Ok, to make a very long story short, my 2011 Touareg (133k miles) spent most of July and August at the stealership for a coolant issue (only took three trips back and forth to find/fix a bad valve in the coolant system). During this time, I'm bouncing between PA, MD, WA, Europe, and Japan for work. I finally got the T-Reg back and fixed August 16th. However, I left for three weeks in Japan on the 18th, so I really didn't have time to take it on a long drive (more than 20 miles). Got home from Japan on September 7th, and took the Touareg on a 70 mile trip on Monday (9/11). Got a CEL upon startup, checked it with VCDS last night, it was Reductant Tank Temperature Sensor P205B 00 [172] - Implausible Signal.

I checked the VW Dieselgate warranty lookup page. My Touareg was fixed on September 5th, 2019 at 116k miles. So, the 4 year 48,000 mile extended warranty expired last week. After the coolant debacle, I just want to sell this thing ASAP and get a 2015-2016 Touareg, so I am not looking to invest the money to delete it. Searching online, I can't find a DEF tank temperature sensor. Is this item part of a module? Also, is this an item that a semi competent home wrench monkey can replace?

Post full scan including FF data... the system compares the DEF temp to outside temp.... you could potentially have a failed ambient temp sensor or malfunction and it would give similar symptoms...

The point he was making (I think) is that it will still be under coverage if mileage isn't all exhausted.....
Plus, he'll have new headaches to deal with such as dying eyelashes and ACC failures
