I've got multiple codes on my VW and believe my DPF is blocked up pretty good. My codes are as follows: P240F, P2BA6, P2002. I purchased the four cans of DPF cleaner and followed the instructions between each can. It never did "run through like water" on the final can as some videos stated it should. Seamed to take as long as the first. (3-4 minutes to empty can) Anyhow, when I started it after the fourth can to do the 40 mile highway drive, the CEL was out.. I was shocked, the filter light was still lit. After about 20 miles at highway speeds the cel popped back on. The cel has been on in this car for months and I'm thinking I plugged the DPF beyond repair.. Is that possible? And while looking on line I see OEM filters for $1,000 or aftermarket filters for $250.. Problem is they say they're for my car, but look nothing like the stock set up.. No where for the o2 sensor to go and differently shaped.. Am I missing something here? I'm a diy'er and want to get the correct setup.. Thanks... Dale

I should mention that prior to attempting to clean the DPF I had other codes P0401, P2008, and P2015 those went away after I installed the bracket from dieselgeek. Should I try another dose of cleaner? Gotta be honest I did can #1, drove around for 10 minutes, can #2 drove around for 10 minutes and can 3 the same way.. It had gotten dark in the driveway and started to rain so I did can #4 and the long drive the following morning.. Did I screw up by waiting overnight for the fourth dosage?

Just wanted to give an update on my CEL... As first mentioned , I've had the dreaded CEL on for almost a year. The car seamed to run fine and my NYS emissions inspection was not due.. The following codes were active.. P0401, P2008, P2015, P240F, P2BA6, & P2002... Knowing a dealer visit would cost me an arm at the very least, and having no "local" VW guys in my area, I went online to see the DIY fixes.. This lead me to purchase the repair bracket from dieselgeek. by the following day P0401, P2008, & P2015 were cleared. Still had the cel and exhaust filter light lit. and codes P240F, P2BA6, & P2002. With nothing to loose I bought four cans of Motor Power foam DPF cleaner. After following the directions and during my final 40 mile drive at highway speed the exhaust filter light went out. The following morning the CEL light was also out so I took it for a drive, 15 minutes later it popped back on and I'd figured it was doomed... To my surprise while driving yesterday the CEL went out and I pulled in for an inspection, I got a temporary and was told it needed a good driving cycle to "OK" itself. Off I went and 103 miles later I pulled back into the shop and everything passed.. I now have a valid 1 year inspection and no light on.. I'll update the moment this light pops back on if it does, but at least this can be a simple (well somewhat easy) DIY fix to get your car inspected.
