I wasn't going to sell this until the spring, but seeing how this thing goes up steep unplowed roads after the recent snowstorms around here like nothing is there, I'm posting to see if there is an interest now. These are just some pics quick pics I have, will post more after the roads dry up and I can detail it.

This is a fully equipped Touareg TDI with leather, sunroof, pushbutton start, keyless access, front and rear parking sensors, locking diff, backup camera, tow hitch receiver, etc. It has over 400 lb. ft. of torque and is rated to tow over 7,000 pounds, yet will get nearly 30 mpg.

Body and interior are excellent other than a split seam in the drivers seat and some paint peeling on the the front bumper.

It has a matching set of new Hankook tires and new brake pads and rotors front and rear. For Pennsylvania buyers it also has a 7/2025 inspection sticker.

It does have a few issues I haven't gotten around to fixing yet and which is why I priced it low and which are annoying but don't prevent you from using it daily.

1) Glow plug control module is bad or acts up. You have to manually activate the plugs once or twice before engaging the starter for the first start of the day. Then it will start right up. On subsequent starts that day you don't need to do that.

2) A shift valve in the transmission valve body is worn and causes a delayed 3-4 upshift only when cold. After it's fully warmed up, it shifts normal. Not going to say a fluid and filter change will fix that, but I just put the shifter in Tiptronic mode and manually shift from 3rd to 4th until it's warmed up.

3) Check Engine light on for DPF and NOX sensor codes. Both need cleaning. Search Google for DIY methods.

4) Infotainment stopped working recently. Only the initial VW splash screen appears, and then goes blank. Supposedly it needs a firmware update.

It runs and drives excellent and I wouldn't hesitate driving cross country. The a/c blows ice cold in the summer and the heat toasty warm when warmed up. The steering wheel is on dead center going down the road with no shakes or vibrations at speed, the brakes are firm with no pedal pulsations or pulling to one side when stopping and the suspension is tight. Cruises at 75 mph at 2200 rpm effortlessly.

Located in the Washington DC area. Priced at $4,995 with it's current faults. I have no need to sell it, just putting it out there if anyone is looking for a hard to find Touareg TDI that needs some work while you drive it. Willing to deliver up to about 500 miles at reasonable cost. atikovi@email.com

HAHA! First this guy sends me an email with the message, $1200. Nothing else. So I message back, What about it? As I have no idea what that’s for. An estimate for roof repairs, my tenant is late for the rent, whatever.

He replies back, What do you tbink. I don’t even know what a tbink is. At this point it sounds like a 15 year old using a phone, so I tell him, When you can compose a coherent message, get back to me.

Then he gets back with a few choice insults and finally says he wants my Touareg for $1200. Well, I had no idea what he is talking about since I posted it at $5000, so what kind of lowballer offers you $1200? Even on Facebook the standard lowball is 50%. I said no thanks and apparently he was insulted I won’t take his offer.

No defence, just more name calling? From an uninformed bystander I am not inclined to believe you so far... I also trust pretty much everyone on this site to look in person and decide if it is junk, and would quickly decline if he is indeed masking a junk car. I think we all know what a Tuoareg demands from its owner.

Khurram Malik, you're one funny guy with your one word posts.
1st, at least I mention the defects of the car posted and let people then decide if they are interested.
2nd, I'll let my record of being a member here since 2002 speak for itself.
3rd, the last car I posted here for sale was 5 years ago, https://forums.tdiclub.com/index.ph...-to-florida-this-weekend.508412/#post-5644476 and I got plenty of complements about it and it's presentation.

Dude, you are being completely rude and unreasonable. You don't have to buy his car, doesn't matter if you don't think it's worth it, calling names isn't helping your case.

If it is above 50°, press the engine start button with foot off the brake, when glow plug light goes off, press the button again to turn off ignition, then immediatly repeat with foot on the brake.

If it is below 50°, and a second cycle with foot off the brake.
Ok but are you adding a secondary source of power or jumping battery?
