I just put the wheels on, my hands were dirty and I think that I touched the lens. I'll get better pictures when I get the car all cleaned up.

Bought it because of the fuel mileage and that I've never seen one before. I like to be different. Good to know that only 1500 were ever made maybe this will help keep the value of the car up.

Stoked to find this forum. Got mine fresh off the truck in 2010 - Laser blue, DSG, sun roof, thunder bunny, no nav. Still <40k miles.

Unfortunately living in SF and Portland has taken a toll. First ripped the front bumper on some rebar sticking out of a curb. Yesterday I got backed into and it cracked clean down the middle.

I know replacement thunder bunnies are basically a no go. Looks like some of you have gone for the standard MKV bumper. Anyone tried an R32 bumper? GLI? Rigging it?

I'd go with an r32 bumper over a GLI myself. It sucks that these bumpers are not available anymore. Someone should make a mould and reproduce them.

My understanding is that they can be sourced but only if you have a true TDI Cup car. You have to get it directly from VW using the vehicles VIN #.

just picked up a white TDI Cup with DSG! i was sad to see my 2009 go but just couldn't press down that third pedal in DC traffic any longer. is this registry that was set up still operational? its been a few years since those posts so idk.

Here's some current info and pictures of my white cup. Pat previously posted some pictures taken at h2o last year. Went a bit lower and changed the wheels up to 18x9.5 Enkei Rpf1s. Other mods include shaved front and rear bumpers, golf r steering wheel, and a Malone stage 2 tune. Soon to doing a turbo back exhaust.

I just bought my white Cup a couple days ago. Coming from a Mazdaspeed 6. So i have about half the horsepower and 2 wheel drive rather than awd. But I love it so far. Looking to get a turbo back exhaust eventually and then a tune. I dont have a spoiler though.... wish I did.

I finally pulled the trigger on the Rawtek delete kit and Cortek resonator. For those that installed the dpf delete pipe, did you guys coat or wrap it?

Just under 65k. During my search last year for one I watched them sell in my area for quite a bit more than the $21k price tag without all the options. Took me a while to find one with a Body Kit and DSG that wasn't BTS. During my search there seemed to be a lot more without the Thunderbunny atleast for sale on the east coast.

I'm still working on the registry over here, adding any cars I can dig up. We're up to 245 cars on the registry at this point.

I've started adding cars to VINWiki, as well. The idea of VINWiki is perfect for a car registry, but their app kinda sucks. If you come across a cup edition anywhere, I'd appreciate if you could add it to VINWiki and tag me in a comment. My username is same there as it is here.

I actually was able to track down the VIN for all 1,501 cup editions that were produced. Unfortunately, a little over 1,100 of them were bought back by VW and crushed. There's a little under 370 cars that I cannot confirm have been crushed, either through the buybacks or from being wrecked. I've tried to add as many pictures as I can to VINWiki for the cars that I can associate with a VIN, but please feel free to go add pictures of cup editions that you've had or still have!

That looks like a nice car in the pictures! At one point in the past, it had an odd front bumper on it.
