Yeah, even with the cold diagnostics turned off, it would still trip the bulb out light every now and then, but it always went out on its own a few seconds later for me. Maybe I'm crazy or it was a coincidence, but it seemed less frequent in the warm months. Definitely annoying, though.

I've gone with two different companies already and both sets have crapped out on me and have thrown the Light Out code.

I was planning to go with Performance LEDs but seems like you have proved my point on those as well. Not sure with whom else to go with anymore, seems like no matter what they go out or just throw the code from the beginning.

I have Deautokey license plate LED's in my 09...Works fine no light out error.

I tried their LED as rear parking lights - didn't work (came on and turned off two seconds later along with bulb out on the dash and VCDS scan)

They do work as reverse and brake lights.

Hope it helps...

I tried the "no error" ones... They all threw a error... I ende dup wiring in a regular lamp hidden to make the error go away... what a pain.

I'd like to have error free one's!

I love Ed's car. It's so great looking with the shaved bumpers and whatnot. It was great to meet him as I follow him on Instagram and I've loved his car since before I got mine when I found his just through Google searches. He's a real good dude.

I'm hoping I'll be able to go to H2Oi this year. Are the cops pesky about window tint down there?

I didn't have any problems with 20%. I drove around a fair amount and saw plenty of LEOs. I think the they're pretty reasonable, contrary to what most will say. Act/drive like a respectable visitor, and they'll leave you alone.

New member, bought this 3 weeks ago. 26k miles, DSG, no options.

No real plans for mods as I have a money pit of a Miata in the garage that it'll never be able to keep up with. :) Really enjoying the fuel economy though.

I'll never understand why Volkswagen built cup cars without the body kit. Atleast that gives you an excuse to throw the Jetta R-GT kit on.

I never understood that either but I can only assume the ones without body kits were customer ordered ones and those built for dealer stock would be much more likely to have the kit.

And with 1501 TDI Cup cars built (I think) I would be interested in knowing how many were built without the body kit... I would imagine they would be rather rare.

I'm obviously the minority because I prefer the normal bumper to the thunderbunny one. The amount of honeycomb in the weird shaped vents between it and the normal grill just look off to me. I don't hate it but it's not my preference. Different strokes.

Here is the original dealer spec sheet I got from another member.
I got this from here earlier and printed it out and laminated it I wish I could get an original copy so I could match the color instead of just a black ande white copy, any ideas...

Too bad for the race cars I would have not bought a DSG...I got a sunroof too and a radio and power windows and a passenger seat all things that the race car did not have...

Let's see: better seats, suspension, brakes, color, etc. and no silly looking bumper that will get ripped off on the first driveway dip you encounter... I greatly prefer ours without the kit. Who wants a slow car that looks fast, anyway?

BTW, ours was dealer stock, but we had to get it transferred from several hundred miles away.

You can tack me on to this list, but I took someone off to add myself...

I bought Pat's Black 6spd today. Nice guy and easy transaction, clean car too. Thanks Pat.

Got any times? I doubt I'll ever mod it because it's not what I bought this car for but I always like seeing what the potential is.

I turned 15.77 @ 89 with a 6MT Malone Stage 2 flash with AFE intake/catback. Catback doesn't do anything but save you weight and give you 2 nice tips.

Nice time, what was the density altitude...
No clue. I don't care about DA honestly. All I know is that I couldn't launch for **** with the soft engine mounts causing wheel hop. And the poly dogmount insert doesn't do anything as far as wheel hop is concerned. 2.30 60'. All the other times I was 16.0-1 w/ 2.4x 60'.

Your welcome VWRacer :)

I ran mine at the track before (all stock and after with Malone tune) it picked up MPH and my ET was better as well but tire spin was bad in 1st gear... I'd have to look at my slips but it was in the 15's.

Anyone ever try to start in 2nd? The big HP/Tq cars do that. I'm sure it would be very hard on our weak clutches but... once "may" not kill it...

2nd gear at idle is 10 mph. That's way too much slippage for the stock clutch. 1st gear, a good clutch and good tires should be all it'll need, but these cars aren't made for the strip anyways. I track mine.
