just picked from up module 5K0-937-087-G-Z5Q from boraparts.com
to summarize:

-087 module supports OEM integration of front fog, rear fog and bi-xenon

scan the central electric coding and save to recode new module

remove panel under steerig wheel secured with three torx screws. carefully unclip the foot well light and vag-com connector.

Socket A / Plug M (Black) Pin 21 is the fog trigger from euro switch pin 5 using repair wire 000-979-009-E

Socket A / Plug M (Black) Pin 25 is the left fog lead using repair wire 000-979-151-E

Socket C / Plug P (Gold) Pin 25 is the right fog lead using repair wire 000-979-151-E

recode remotes (see post 62)

recode Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) , TPMS-65, Adaption-10, Channel-5, security code 01503 (post 120/121)

will edit for details and any pictures

Could you post the part number of the original module your car had?

Thanks,
Ben

Thanks for the info. I would like to get the DRL function moved to the fog lights. But due to a few new bills, this conversion will need to wait a bit.

My car has a 5K0 937 085G. And VW tells me this is not a good part for USA and that their system shows my car should be having a 5K0 937 087G.

I may first wire in a bulb to the fog light output pin to test for a burnt bulb message, with the current module.

Your current module won't have an output pin for the fog light. It will give you a burnt bulb message.

The part number confusion is because VW doesn't stock the low or mid-line modules as repair parts. If you need a new cecm, you have to buy a high line part.

Anyone here have any interest in my CZ0X (rare and un-obtainable) high line CECM? The only one capable of running LED tails without error.

So I know folks have issues with the 5K0937087G Z5Y CECM, and most the online parts places are listing 5K0937087G Z5Q now. It's weird because ETKA doesn't list Z5Q. I can't even find any Z5Y's anymore. I had kind of given up on being able to do LED tails, or thought at least I could use a Z5Y with some resistors to get everything working well.

Anyhow, I'm wondering if anyone else has tried a newer version of the CECM on their '10 for LEDs.

i know this is an Old thread, i have been following it for a while, finally opted up to Upgrade to highline CECM and most of the things work, but have few questions

The CECM that i installed PN is 5K0 937 087 T

1. I get TPMS error, saying No Communication - i can't login to 65 Tire Pressure, any body have a problem with that?

2. I was able to recode remotes so its not the issue with Factory mode

3. Did any body have success in running LED DRl's on mk5 (2010 sedan) If i recode byte 18 to 21 i get DRl's but get the bulb error and Right Reverse light is constantly on

4. On my previous CECM which was Low Line i had Euro Alarm Siren and it worked perfect, when i installed the new CECM my regular Horn is my Alarm, any thought on how that can be corrected, i am guessing its coding issue

Thank you

I will do an Auto Scan tomorrow, have one right now but with many errors

Well I was wanting to add OEM fogs to my 10 jetta, but it looks like not only is it complicated as hell, but very expensive.
