You are right dude, what can I say? Why don't you come forward and be the first one? I have not read any of your post's, don't care to. But I don't see you having any mods in your sig. Why don't you come and get your first one here? You seem like a smart guy so why don't you come to NY or PA and help us out? You would help us out and we would help you out. See we make nice!

And we'll leave it at that! If you have noticed Tonino has cooled out and is "better". So if you want to start trouble, please take it some where else.

Good day,
Pete

This is a really sad thread that lowers the content value of this forum. If you are trying to damage the perception of the tuning industry, good job.
If you are really trying to sell tuning, a current dyno with accurate use of English is 1 post, feedback makes 2.
And no I am not interested in free tuning for my 30,000.00 investment.

I have a alh car I will test your tuning on. Its got a ars load of mods. You give me the tune and pay for the dyno runs and I will do it. But something like this you should tune in person. Make a trip to florida and I will set up a dyno.

cars with mods cannot be just tuned and ship the ECU, yes need to do custom tuning, i just did a MINI S yesterday and the car had complete open exs system and this car would not take normal tuning....it had to be custom specific for it.....anything is not stock need to be done on the car.
i'm getting a 09 TDI for myself and as soon i get my car i would take and dyno and of course post the results here, but this can be in 3 weeks
unless i get a local car to take for dyno and do all

Bud I can show a dyno from just about every mod than that can be done on almost all tdi's! These however are in Italian. We posted some awhile back and were torn apart for it.

Now, I myself never believe or am sceptical of any manufacturer dynos/claims because they are all salesmen. I am not saying saleman are bad I work with lots of them. But they tell you want you want to hear or see. So we will NOT post dynoes from ourselves, tried that!

Now for testing, we don't do alot of testing on our cars. Atleast not the way our "partners" do. We can't, could not afford it but they do ask us to look for specific things with say, vagcom before we can tune to certain limits. Weather you care or not, this is a very simple description on how are tuning is done.

1) They obtain a car if they do not know someone with the car they buy it.

2) They keep the car for several days/weeks and give owner a loaner.

3) Then they tst components on the car all while using emulation and tuning in real time on a Bosch rolling road dyno AWD/FWD.

4) Then they make a generic file for us. With this file we can tune to the limit of what ever the driver wants and or supporting mods safely and comfortably. All while obtaining the "stock" feel and reliability.

These folks have been Automotive Engineers for 30+ years. And that is not combined. And no, not structural, embedded control systems design. These guys know their stuff! They would NEVER let us put something in someone's car that will hurt it.

So, if these guy's are not the ones you want to work on you car... Sorry, we could not help you have a nice day!:) Their is more to it than that but in a nutshell that is it.

Mr. Krout,

That would be Tonino's job. And as stated, we will give tune not dyno.

Respectfully, this is all step 1.
Step 2 is where you sell your tested and proven product to a customer.
Step 3 is where they are encouraged to post their comments because you have made them so happy with your tune. They are then encouraged to dyno their car and post the results.

Oh, and we do encourage them. For instance, I tuned a fellow's 2008 BMW 750. NA engines gains are not that significant and we told him that but he wanted it anyway. So we did and the dude is thrilled and since then he has given us quite an amount of buisness. From a couple of GTI (me9 and med17) to other BMW and MB, MB in near future. This guy is older but is quite the motorhead. Knows his stuff about cars. But I asked him to dyno for us and he is not really interested, doesn't have time. If we want a testimonial, sure no problem. Same with the other folks. That is why we made the offer for free tune and the owner pays for dyno. We know how it performs and we have dynos for alot of set-ups but these are done from our "company". To me, being the skeptic that I was, I would think they are useless as well. But not cause they are in a different language but because they came from the company who is making the claims. It is vicious cycle but it is what it is.

We will not tell you what you want to hear, we will tell you what we know. It is obvious that we are not that good of salesmen. You (who ever) really must meet us. We will do anything we can to make you happy. That is for sure!

My oldman is lucky to crack 20mpg on his stock LBZ Duramax :) (Only mod is the PPE airbox mod)
He also needs a downpipe back exhaust and a PPE tuner set on level 2. With this combo, I get 23-24Mpg out of our LBZ:D If you really baby it, the MPG will be even higher.

well i just got back from H20 down in ocean city md had my car re flashed by f1 tuning. what a difference it doesnt stall in frist gear any more and is noticeably faster now i can keep up with my cuzs rabit . i would say it got at least 25-30 hp and 30-35 torque i know its not huge but you feel it. and on they way down there i avg 41.5 mpgs doing 70 mph going from rochester ny to eastem md that is 433 door to door. on just over a half a tank. on wa y home after tuning avg 70-75 on way home i was getting 43.44 mpgs taking a longer route home with a little more stop a goes cause i made a detour to go into wash. dc and that was 1 1/2 hrs out of the way. they said i would get between 2-3 mpgs more than befor right now i have 5400 and change on my jsw tdi 09 at since the retune from f1 tuning its so much more fun to drive

Thanks to MR H.

I met and picked up Tonino from f1 tuning in Tampa. He flashed my car with his tune and we headed towards Ocala for the GTC. I don't want to sound like an advertisement, but it made a big difference. Response and acceleration throughout the entire RPM range was improved. Specially the 1600 to 2400 range where the boost comes on. Boost comes on quicker and stronger. The car now RIPS. The most amazing improvement was tromping on it at 75MPH. If you gas it enough to downshift to 5th at highway speeds the car just pulls like a homesick angel to a 100 very very quickly. At that speed the difference was huge. I can also see a 1.5-2.5 MPG increase on the MFC at all times (except when my foot is in it, which is now all too often). I'll let you know what the real "Gas Tank" mileage is after another fill-up. Dr. Diesel (Chris) and his wife Sally could not have been nicer to host the GTC. There was an MKV manual gearbox oil change, and many good stories tips, sharing of technical knowledge, good times and food! And, Tonino Flashed a few cars at the GTC as well, and there were big (Ear to Ear) smiles on each driver when they came back from the Test drives. The next Central Florida GTC will be next year sometime in early February.
Cheers,
Munisign

I agree, Generally I don't baby it !! LOL:D
However, lead footing and MPG don't work well together if that's the goal

VW’s newest TDIs have certainly increased the power, and many of us would love to experience such power in our daily drivers. In reality, other priorities in life take a rightful spot. But increased power, continued reliability, and maintained fuel economy CAN be achieved at a reasonable cost through power tuning, also known as ‘chipping’. But many of us are concerned and cautious about entering the world of chipping due to our lack of knowledge on this topic.

Enter Tonino Petrolo, master mechanic with 25 years experience with European diesel automobiles, and a technician with F1 Tuning. Tony will again be visiting the Central Florida area to attend the May 16th, 2010 TDI-GTG in Ocala. While visiting us last November, Tony did a few F1 Tuning installs with great success and raves from his clients.

Now is your opportunity to talk with an expert. Tony will be in Ocala to discuss ‘chipping’ and performance tuning. He’ll explain the difference between performance modifications as they affect acceleration and improved throttle response. Not all chipping modifications result in the same power increases. Some of our members can attest to that, and have had their previous “chipping” changed to F1 Tuning’s modifications with a much-preferred expanded drivability. One member remarked that his previous ‘chipping’ gave him sudden acceleration but it was either off or on. With his F1 Tuning modification he now enjoys driving more because his power increase is on a much wider scale, the power curve flows nicely right up the entire range on the tachometer.

Got questions? Want to learn more? Come on out and join us at the Sunday, May 16, 2010 TDI-GTG in Ocala. The cost is our usual $5 per person that includes a great lunch plus the other tech sessions (topics to be announced in late April). Previous GTGs have brought regular visitors from Georgia and North Carolina, so we must be doing something right. Come and see for yourself. RSVP registration is required so either email us at doctordiesel@cox.net (any day) or phone 352-572-8421 from 8:30AM–5:30PM or 352-694-3705 from 8:30AM–8:30PM, both Eastern Time (between Apr 16th and May 12th). When registered we’ll give you times and directions to our location in Ocala, Florida.
