I thought about it, but even a 40$ a night place would still be far more than fuel. Plus my own Cal King bed over a full kinda swayed me too. I'm sticking with the drive more, worry less theory... hope it works out for me.Sheesh, time to look into hotels with cheap weekly rates :/
running a diesel engine on fuel with a lower than recommended cetane number can result in rough operation (noise and vibration), low power output, excessive deposits and wear, and hard starting. We have two problems, low cetane in most stations due to the low sulfur and not enough lubrication. Lubrication is the biggest problem.
Most additives bump the cetane level though and that CANT be a bad thing...of course we all know the main goal of the additive is lubrication for the pump and fuel system.
Evidently you do not know much about it, but there
are indeed other ways to raise the cetane levels!
Don't know about you or what you drive (a diesel even ?) but all the D2 pumped
here in the states must meet certain cetane and lubricity levels.
I have never run accross any D2 that caused any of my diesels to run rough or not perform as
designed. And I have been buying D2 since 1966 over the years for my various eighteen diesels.
Whatever I am finding now for my newer 2010 seems to be just fine, thank you.

Slang sometimes used to refer to low lubricity ULSD.Dry diesel? never heard that term before, can you please explain?
Most of the HPFP problems are from dry diesel in CA and lack of lubrication on the pumps. [? ? ?]
So for Mr Green, let's hope you don't have a problem out of warranty.
The odds are better in CA for a problem. [? ? ?]
