I am a former semi-truck owner and I laways added some straight ATF to my fillups. I'd add about a quart to 100 gallons and it kept the injectors clean and everything operating smoothly. Truckers have been doing it for MANY years. Any thoughts?
You shouldn't apply any old Diesel habits to a CR VW. Stuff like "adding a little gasoline to the fuel in cold weather" or adding ATF to the fuel is a big mistake.

ATF contains friction modifiers and is designed for automatic transmissions and that's it. Yes, it worked ok in old diesels because of the high detergent levels, but there's no way you want ATF in piezo injectors.
