2008 TDI V10 Touareg for sale.

I have a 2008 V10 Touareg Lux plus pkg that is in really nice shape. Exterior is cranberry and interior black. Higher miles but mostly HWY (160K). I bought it with 5K miles on it from a WW dealer in MPLS. It was a Sundance Film Festival Vehicle and is loaded for that year. Last year the V10 TDIs were sold in US. I have all maintenance records. No serious accidents. The only thing is that it was scraped by a trailer in a parking lot years ago and completely repaired. I am asking $9000. I will trade it in if I told sell it (I have a trade in estimate of $8500 -$9000 from the dealership I bought it from). It is an estimate because we can't do the trade until the 2016 TDIs are released.

This is my favorite car I have owned, but my husband wants me to get something new. Hoping to get one of the 2016 TDI V6 Touaregs when they are released for sale (being held right now). I just thought if there were some TDI V10 fans out there it would be a better option than trading it in.

Can you provide a little maintenance history, as these beasts seem to need some work starting at 100k or so.

I'm gonna go ahead and throw this out there: you are asking too little for your V10. A loaded 2008 should be going for at least $12-15K unless there are problems that need to be addressed.

Maintenance history and pictures will help a buyer understand the true condition, which will make it much easier to get a higher price.

I just paid $13k for a 2010 v6. I agree

Maintenance history

I knew it was a lower asking price. I just wanted to try to make a little over trade in. I think it is definitely worth even 15K. I never off road in it and most of the miles are highway. I will plan to raise it up to about $11K, because I have to tax break make money back on my new vehicle that I forgot to include. It is in very good condition and has had a lot of maintenance.


It does NOT have any impending maintenance issues, but that it needs tires.

It has has had the right bank Turbo replaced Nov 2011.

The carrier bearing failed in 2012 at 88K miles and was replaced (after damaging two rear propellor shaft units -that were replaced- before the actual cause was identified).

Rear battery replaced Jan 2014

Front and Rear brake pads and rotors replace Spring 2014

Front battery replaced spring 2014

Spring 2015 air suspension light came on and I stopped into dealer. I never noticed a problem. They replaced the air ride pump assembly and the pump relay part. No problems since then.

October 2015 there was a crack in the passenger side manifold. It was replaced and since they had to pull the engine to do that they checked and replaced any gaskets etc that looked sketchy.

I was thinking the same thing... LOL. Two V10s would be completely ridiculous, but man is it tempting.

If I wasn't trying to buy a house...this would have been mine already. I looooooove my v6 tdi. By far, the best vehicle I've owned...and it's not air suspension. God I love these beasts.
