This car is a odd configuration. It’s a package 1 with a DSG 6spd. I’m the second owner. I’ve had the car since 70k miles and have had a good run for 10 years with it. The car does have a issue with DSG mechatronics unit. The clutch temp sensor has a fault. I replaced the mechatronics about 5 years ago for the same issue. I had the dealer replace it. Now we have the same issue again. It’s my wife’s car and she wanted a new car so it’s for sale. The motor has had all service and runs like a top. Looking to sale it pretty cheap. Just tossing this out here. There are a few interior issues and such but nothing major. Door cards need recovered. Headliner is new. Make offers and I’ll consider them all. Car has 216k miles on it now. I have receipts for all services for
Timing and DSG services from dealer. I’d like to see $1500 out of it. But again make offers and I’ll think on it. I know the mechatronics is fixable and not to difficult for most of us DIY guys to R&R but Im not doing it. If it was an Audi B5 I’d be all over it. The front wheel was damaged. There is another one in the spare tire well, I never got around to getting it on the car. I have the factory radio and such as well if you want it for the car. I can’t remember if it still works or not. The car has the monsoon system and I believe the amp was staying on killing the battery. But I have them both. All harnesses are still in tact I believe. Car is located in Tulsa, Ok.

Here is a link to a video of the trans in limp mode idling

Then seconds later it’s fine. The temp sensor is a intermittent issue that has now become a fault.

Is the car drive-able when the transmission is in limp mode?

What shape/condition is the suspension in? Exhaust, brakes, rust etc
Would it need any major maintenance in the near future?

Looking for semi dependable first car for my daughter. I would like to not have to do major repairs (outside of the DSG) before she could drive it.

Thanks for your time.

The suspension is good. Just replaced all status with bilstein. The car is great other than the DSG. No other major repairs that I can see coming. Timing service was complete by dealer at around 175k

No rust either. We can get on a video call via Facebook if you would like for a virtual walk around.
