Does anyone know what the Emissions Workshop dash alarm means? The light came on today. No loss of power. My buddy's 2009 has this alarm when his DPF failed. His did have lack of power and frequently stalled before VWoA honored his warranty.

I heard a clicking sound under the hood near the passengers side firewall the day before the Emissions Workshop alarm was present. This only occured after the motor was shut off.

Anything to do with the systems which regulate emissions and keep the car running properly in the process.

Get it scanned for the code.

None right now :(
It could be glowplugs, any generic OBD scanner would show codes if it is in fact the GPs. That would be my first check. Mine is having the same problem, seems to be the glowplug harness as all the plugs ohm out to the same value. (1.2)

Good luck

The clicking noise you heard after the car was shut off was probably the ASV (anti shudder valve). It's the valve that the top intercooler hose goes into on the passenger side. That ASV or EGR valve might be going ? just a guess..

It was the intake. Blower motor and shutter valve. All to $600 for stealer for parts and labor!!!!! That was an expensive lesson learned!

I second the notion on the glowplug error.

Mine is doing the exact same thing with a code for the #1 cylinder glowplug.
