2005 vw passat wagon tdi $2700

ONE OWNER. 175k. Currently the transmission is not moving when in drive. The trans was replaced at 90k with a Factory VW replacement ($3500 not including install). No one has scanned the computer however as the story goes the car was driving and shifting just fine. Upon exiting the interstate the passat slipped half a lane on wet pavement and came to a controlled stop at the first intersection. Upon attempting to pull away from the intersection the rpm's went up but the car did not move. It was towed up at that point and a new car was purchased.

Recent SERVICE:

- 4/12 EGR COOLER REPLACED $880
- 6/12 Replaced cam shaft and outter cv boots $2450
-7/13 4 new Michelin Defender tires $533.99
-EGR Regulator flap replaced $235
-EGR regulator R+I Cleaned $235
-Replaced throttle flap, front brake pads, both outter cv boots $1454.80
-Replaced turbo hose $159
-11/13 Replaced coolant temp sensor $143.00

I agree. This is very tempting indeed. But for me the distance and the fact that I have BSM paranoia from spending too much time on the forums means that I am sitting on the sidelines.
