2005 Jetta TDI PD BEW engine power loss

Experiencing a power loss when calling for more acceleration at the high end. Car shudders and power falls off at high speeds. On a straight stretch of road can only get 90 MPH out of it and i know I can get a lot more than that. regular driving and acceleration is normal. Changed MAF sensor to no avail. One fault code of 16725 Camshaft Pos. Sensor Intermittent but received this code before problem. No check engine light. Would like to resolve before it morphs into bigger issue
