All factory maintenance is current and performed by Jon Hamilton, nationally-known TDI mechanic, at Jon’s Auto LLC. (Last service complete February 2021 @ 181,346 miles)
BBS rims and tires ~ Installed around 175,000 miles
Intake manifold cleaning, EGR bypass kit, Rocketchip Stage 3 ECU upgrade, VNT 17/22 turbocharger with upgraded turbo inlet pipe 2.5” OMI (Old Man Intake), Bosio PowerPlus 764 fuel injector nozzles, Dark Side upgraded side mount intercooler, South Bend Clutch Stage 2 clutch kit with single mass flywheel, upgraded Pump Duese (PD TDI) in-tank lift pump (January 2017)
Upgraded, performance Techtonics Tuning complete exhaust system including stainless steel downpipe (race) and 3” aluminized catalytic converter with Magnaflow muffler and exposed tip (January 2017)
A/C working well with new compressor and fan control module (May 2020)
Timing belt service complete @ 122,919 miles in April 2018
Glow plug wiring harness @ 122,919 miles in April 2018; glow plug replacement @ 108,641 miles in December 2016
Front left wheel bearing replacement (February 2019)
Front Bilstein struts (and springs) with all associated bushings including (solid) Audi TT control arm bushings (rear position), ESC tuning powerflex control arm bushings (front position), sway bar bushings, and upper strut mounts with bearings (January 2019/March 2021)
Upgraded ECS performance dog bone mount and transmission mount (March 2021), with the solid motor mounts it vibrates alot at idle
Has some wear and tear to be expected for an older car but can pack a punch for the little 4 cylinder that it is.
