Hi everyone,

I have a 2003 Jetta equipped with the (optional at the time) Electronic Stability Program, or ESP.

Recently I've stepped up to 17" rims and replaced the better part of the rubber in my suspension along with new, stiffer struts and shocks. The car sits a bit higher now (no lift springs or anything, mostly by nature of the bigger wheels)

It's hard to say exactly when, but since both of these upgrades my ESP activates more frequently, maybe even where previously it would not have on the 15" steelies and stock 200k miles-old suspension components. It happens often enough that I will opt to turn off ESP when I want to have some fun, whereas I previously didn't really worry about it.

I know that Metalnerd won't offer their lift kits to cars equipped with ESP; is this why?

Is there a way to calibrate ESP?

Is there something I should have done or not have done knowing that I have ESP?

You need to recode the ESP in vagcom. I don't remember the exact location but it is in the abs them go to coding. The coding helper will give you the coding choices. Or just call Rosstec
