Dante,

I'm more than happy to bring as many totes of Bio-D from Dr. Dan's as my Jetta can carry! We could even split the load between our two cars.

Would people rather have me buy a 3-5 gallon tote and they can absorb that cost when they buy the Bio-D off of me

OR

Would they rather save money and have me bring Bio-D in used McDonalds fryer oil totes that have been emptied out (as best they can be)

I could do a mix of both, but I don't want to end up with a load of $5 totes because people change their minds or don't show up.

Maybe we can find a decent deal on some of the blue 5-gallon diesel cans. They're a nice thing to have around anyway. I'd sell the BD and can to anyone interested at my cost. Anyone interested?

I don't know if there's enough interest to justify it, but it would be awesome if we could get Dr. Dan to come (or let us borrow his truck and fuel tank to sell some fuel for him in Oly).

Walmart sells 5 gal fuel containers for $4-5 that have two handles and pop out spouts: red-gasoline, blue-kerosene, yellow-diesel. They are very easy to handle, and very easy to pour from. We use them for B100.

Heinz,

I missed the GTG at your place last year. I didn't have directions and when I hopped the ferry to drive to the hotel where Tazz was staying to follow him there, he had left already. I've been waiting a long time to get chipped since we haven't got a rep set up out here, as far as I know. Will there be somebody there (yourself?) to chip some cars? I'm sure we can get a few people to go in on it to make it worth someone's time and effort if a rep wants to make the trip.

Dante,

Adding in the cost of a $4-5 fuel container to 12.50 of fuel doesn't look too attractive to most people which is why I asked McDonalds if they could donate used fryer oil containers. Some people would probably pay for the convenience of not having to use a funnel to fuel up their cars though.

Let's start a new topic to see who wants what, eh?

I have a large funnel to add th bio to tanks if needed - if you dont want to hassle there is west bay marina 5 minutes from my house :) - sad part is he charges 3.00 a gallon for the stuff but it is very convinient - pull up / fill up and go. Maybe I can get the price down. I dont want to undercut DR. Dan - he spend alot of time and effort on provifding bio to us.

I'd love to go, but I need comfirmation on whether or not there'll be somebody there to chip my car. I'd hate to book the weekend off from work only to find out I can't get chipped. Not that I wouldn't love to meet everyone and shoot the breeze, but if I have to lose a couple of days wages, I need to gain some power in return. If someone could let me know whether or not there will be someone doing the Upsolute thing at this GTG it would be most appreciated.

If we can get close to 10 people wanting to get chipped we could ask GarretP to come out but we need a show of hands. Will double post on VWVoretex for the 1.8T crowd to up the count.

Count me in Heinz! I have the day off, I just need directions. I might up for installing a set of .184s to go with my Upsolute/Auto. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone.

Heiz-man, we need to get Al-the-injector man there so he can switchout my injectors to the 205's! Also, I got a set of HID's. I'll be there for sure!

I have fixed the wiring problem on my Double DIN Monsoon and am bringing the tools to the meet perform this job for anyone who wants theirs fixed.

Also, I spoke to Dr. Dan yesterday and he is interested in driving his tank truck to the meet so everyone can check out his B-100.

Sorry I won’t be able to make the GTG, have plans for that weekend. If you want to get together some time before the June GTG to install your injectors we can work something out if you like.

Sorry to hear you will not be able to make it Al - you will be missed. Is there a chance we could snag your small torque wrench? I have all the other tools but it would be helpfull to have a small torque wrench at the GTG since we will be swapping the injectors out of Tom Bentzen's car for .205's. Does anyone else have a small torque wrench (5-15 lb.) they could bring? Garretp wrote back and is suggesting we have one of the West coast rep's show up for the Upsolute'ing of vehicles - any takers from Van to Cal ? So far we have people from Anaheim to Vancouver showing up.
Sofar we have the following installs at the GTG -
Tom Bentzen for .205 and HID, additionally screen rectalsectemies and what else ???? If you have any decent items for sale bring them along. I will have some parts available including several new Hella rear LED brake light bars for Golf IV in silver and Black, extra pollen filters (bought a box of 10), alu door pins and maybe some rims and tires - all reasonably priced. As far as food is concerned - should we do pizza or something along that line - I do have a barbaque and some seating available. For those of you who want a place to sleep - max of 5 accomodation in the house with room in the back for camping. Bring the wifes and kids - this is a family affair! There are woods behind the house for a nice walk for anyone getting bored plus it is a quiet , serene neighborhood to walk around in. Any suggestions - please speak up since this is for all of us

Heinz, would it be an idea to have a "Job Board" up at your place, or maybe start a separate topic, for people who are hoping to do some work at the GTG, and people who'd like to help with that job? Maybe include name, job, and year and type of vehicle.

I'll start...I'd like to replace the burnt-out rear license plate light bulbs on my '98 NB TDI, and can't get the dang covering off to access the bulbs ;-)

Maybe we could have a table with parts to swap and sell. I have a small torque wrench and claw for the injectors. I will bring my vagcom that I have had for a year and learn to finally use it. I think sub sandwiches from Subway would be nice. Any places you can suggest for accomidations?
