2001 Gold TDI Door Light

Pass. door opens and inside rear courtesy light goes on but when opening the driver side courtesy light in back area goes on periodically. Have read the manual and can only believe it is a fuse(?) or connection within the door boot.
Anyone work with that before?

Agreed. The door latch assembly has a few inherent troubles, not the least of which are 6 solder joints that tend to break. They're out at the end of the board by the plug, and the board at that point will vibrate each and every time the door is shut.

I don't know how you'd design something that would be light enough, and cheap enough to manufacture, and do a better job than what is there. But at any rate, the joints, IMO, are much more likely to be problematic than the usual blamed microswitch.
