SOLD - 2000 Golf TDI GL Green
This car is a project, my best value purchase in a car at 15 years and 280,000 miles as the single owner.
I am certain it has life left in it, and/or a bunch of usable parts. Life, two jobs and the need for two kid seats with easy access all hit at the same time as a clutch not disengaging and a timing belt about 8-10K miles on the horizon. The AC was blowing cold but made a racket when on, so I have not used it in a year. The headliner is shot and sagging. All regular maintenance, i.e. oil and filter changes, timing belts etc. were done and on track. The clutch was replaced at 189,000 by Harv in LA when he did the last timing belt with a 100K kit. The hod and front driver's wheel well have small dents.
The good: Close to rust free, tires are 4 days old Kumho stock size on steel rims (ironic), battery is in good shape, glass and most body panels in good shape. Front leather seats from a MkIV GTI in good shape, Steel skid plate, monster mats, and plenty of other good parts if you need a donor car. Front brakes near new.
I have set of rear brakes that I bought from IDIpats at the same time as the front but not needed yet, Rear suspension bushings were a pending project and I have a set in the box. Looking through the garage tonight I will probably flush out some filters, the old Ross Tech TWIN-USB and KII-USB included,
This golf could probably be saved, and or breath some life into an existing project. More Pictures after I get my stuff out and clean it up a bit

The car is currently sitting in Ventura. It will start and idle in neutral. If started in gear with the clutch depressed it stalls out. I can use my AAA tow for a 7 mile pull if needed
I would like to get $1200 for it in light of the new and spare parts.
If curious, we bough a 2015 GSW TDI as the replacement, hoping it goes as well as this last one did
