Bought my 2006 tdi jetta dsg with 226,000 on it last week. only put 200 miles on it so far and am very pleased. The doors don't lock and the brakes kinda suck but I'll figure it all out in due time. My goal is 500,000 miles, hopefully i revisit this thread in a decade and laugh

2002 Jetta 405,000

Bought car new in 2002 currently have almost 405,000 on the clock. Started life as an automatic since converted to a manual. Car has been flawless nothing but normal wear and tear items. Everything works. Anyone want to buy it and run it to infinity?

Your 2004 should have a 09a or? transmission, not an 01m. Could last forever.

Somehow I missed this thread. My '02 Jetta hit the 200k mark a few months ago. It's around 206k right now.

The previous owner didn't replace the timing belt until 130k miles. So I still have some time before I have to do that.

261K on 2002 Beetle 5 spd. No major engine work outside of normal timing belt replacement. Only owned it for 2 months and completely new to VWs and the TDI engine. Only $1500 invested into the car and looking for another 200K plus miles!

Ran greta up until 3 months ago...starting and cutting out issues currently.
