Hey all,

newly acquired A6 2.7 V6 with roughly 170k miles, VSCDS threw only only O2 Lambda sensor - running too rich error code, was going to work on finding a replacement.

Was testing out the car at higher speeds (around 120mph) and the acceleration of the vehicle suddenly stopped, no response from the pedal yet car started slowing down and I halted it to a stop by braking. At full stop the engine turned off and I noticed quite a lot of white fumes from the back (not sure if white, since it was night time).

After that, trying to start the engine it doesn't even crank normally, just a single click sound (from the starter supposedly) and no other life. Scanned again, it threw a turbocharger actuator stuck error code alongside Fuel Rail/System Pressure too low (P0087). Clearing the codes and trying to start gives the same output, except the codes changed to Glow Plug - Short to Ground on glow plugs 1, 3 and 5.

The lack of normal engine crank is making me think the timing chain just snapped or skipped a rail causing internal damage, is that possible with these fault codes?
