Hi, I know that the ECM will display Injection quantity and what would be an approximate of fuel consumed at 1800 RPM with a light load? Anyone have a close guess?

If we assume cruising along a highway at 60mph is an equivalent light load, you’re probably talking 3.5-5L/hour.

there's a measuring block with fuel consumption in Lh/hr, i think 015 on stock measuring blocks. if you're on a stock tune with stock fueling, the IQ and fuel consumption values should be relatively accurate, so you can do the math when you know the speed. 60mph actual + 3.8L/hr should then of course be ~60mpg at that moment

My plan is to use the 1Z as stationary power. My HP required for this generator is 40 HP at 1800 RPM. Ive been around VW diesels since 1978. I have several 1.6 NA that would fit the requirement. Those engines are very efficient. I've had excellent luck and experience with the 1Z, since 1996. I appreciate the input, thanks Artie

I have the tach2vss ordered. Laying out the flywheel and starter arrangement from facing the transmission. Fabricating a plate, pointing the starter towards the front of the engine. The devil is in the details. Thanks again, Artie
