1J0920946C Full Height Cluster and F120 Open Hood

After installing the replacement cluster, I noticed the open hood is always displayed. No, I didn't notice if the hood open was present with the original cluster. Typically, 12v is present on T2a/2 (hood switch connector on the radiator core support) which grounds through the switch. I get ground on both sides of that connector. T2a/2 originates directly from the j393 CCM. Think it is a cluster coding issue ? I've read some countries don't use the f120 and this cluster came from England. Thanks for any suggestions.

I've searched as much as I can, and still haven't figured this mystery out. Full height clusters have been retrofitted in tdi mkiv's for years, no one else has had this issue ? Thanks for any info or guesses.

What car did you install it in? It's obviously not the "96 glx variant tdi" in your signature.

This cluster was installed in an dsg/01m swapped 2003 wagon.
