Once again, I am offering a nice 1999 Jetta TDI GLS. 117k miles since new. One owner vehicle from Memphis,Tn. Five Speed transmission. Epa rating 42 mpg city / 49 mpg highway. Timing belt, tensioner, roller, waterpump replaced @ 114k miles in June 2006. Have receipt.

Canyon Red Metallic with black cloth interior. Factory CD changer. All stock, no mods. Recent tires.

Why was it registered in Mississipi in early 2006, then end up back in Tennessee? Has the title been laundered while down there to remove "salvage" ??

99.5 to 2002 MY Jetta TDI's were available as a base GLS w/o lux pkg. ie: lux pkg = moonroof and alloys. Base GLSs' with auto trannies came with alloy wheels standard but w/o moonroof. Not the case with a base Golf GLS auto. I've even had base GLS Golf's with roll up windows and no center arm rest. At least the description came up as a GLS when entering the VIN on Autotrader, Kelley Blue Book, Auction Access, and Vehicle History Reports, go figure. Later!

In answer to a few questions-

The car is a single owner vehicle. It was purchased new in Memphis,Tn @ gossett VW. The owner moved from Memphis to a north Mississippi suburb (Memphis is 10 miles from MS and AR). The vehicle has a perfect carfax. The right rear quarter panel has been repainted (though you can't tell it by walking around the car). The car IS a GLS; the vin# is what makes the distinction. I've had a few GLS models that only had cruise and and armrest, these are the standard GLS options.

I'm listing the car on ebay tonight without reserve. I'll forward a link here when it becomes availible.

I listed the car on ebay. I'm selling it without reserve, so bid whatever you think is a fair price. The car is a nice, 1 owner car, with a perfect title history. Everything works as it should, and it hasn't been modified.

My asking price is $8800 and if anyone on the forum wants it, I'll end the ebay auction early (provided bidding hasn't exceeded that amount).
