Norwegian 110HP Tdi which I`ve traded up to from a Passat 1,6 100HP about a month ago.
Upgraded with Powerbox from Chiptronic (runs about 140HP and 285NM), Eibach lowering springs and 17" Rims with 225/45 Falken tires.

I`ve tested the car against the 1.8t, and the t DOES NOT beat me! It`s fun...

I think my next one will be Tdi as well.

Greeeeaaaatttt! I love the silver Passats!

Howard, I'm not sure about your result as I never drove pure 1.8T.

But my previous silver 98 Passat was 1.8T chipped by ABT to 210 bhp/285 Nm (including Jamex air filter and Supersprint exhaust), Jamex lowering, 17" VW Montreal rims 205/55/16 Dunlop SP 9000 and belive me it would beat you, I'm sure
)It rans up to 250 kmph (radar verified)

Two of my friends have exactly the same.

But:
Now I have silver 99 Passat 1.9 TDI Pumpe-Duse, with just Jamex air filter, waiting for Supersprint mounting on, tomorrow I will lower it on B&G's and still waiting when Abt will release the chip for PD.

Then I will test my car against the friend's Turboniums. I'll post here the results and some pics, too.

Keep it, it's really the best stuff!

Well, there is a slight difference between "your" 210 bhp/285 Nm 1.8t and a standard (150 bhp/210 Nm) 1.8t.....

60bhp/75Nm makes a difference in performance.

I didn`t say I outran the 1.8t, but I kept up with it.

Good luck with the "Pumpe-Duse"!

Post pictures when you are ready with it, and please send in your specs and modifications..

Thanks for showing us all over here what a real powerful Passat TDI looks and runs like, ours are more anemic and need more attention to come alive.
That is a really nice automobile
