Sure can, but it will be a slight bit taller.

My '97 Passat came with 195/70s on the front and 195/75s on the back. All Michelin tires. I have a GPS and with these tires, my odometer is short by about 5% but the speedometer is dead on. I haven't decided whether or not to go back to the original size tires when mine need replacing.
