I recently got the 2014 Audi Q5 TDI, and after reading things on this forum going ahead with the below services. I will be supplying parts.

What do you guys think of the labor rate? Is this reasonable in the Bay Area? Any other Service I am missing?

Fuel Filter - 150
Transmission Fluid - 525
Diff Fluid (AWD) - 300
Battery - 150
Oil Change - 50

Thank you.

Bay area will always equal expensive, but most shops don't allow customer supplied parts. I only allow customer supplied parts if they come from a trusted vendor, but offer no warranty and the labor cost is higher.

just the diffs for $300 (especially if you're providing the fluid) is highway robbery, IMO
literally a drain and fill that you could save some $$$ by doing in your driveway
the transfer case is slightly harder and takes "special" gear oil

the Q5 front diff is not as easy to do, and they don't have the transfer case as its built into the transmission.

I recommend European Auto Repair in Alameda. Call them ask about prices. When I bought me Jetta TDI Albert reluctantly agreed to use parts I supplied. He and I have had an excellent relationship ever since. There are very few others that I ever trusted to work on my TDI. Most are no longer in CA or no longer in business. Albert and his son run one of the most professionally run auto shops I have ever done business with.
