I swap hole 12mm head with springs and THE De143 camplate to mine pump
Did you have 10mm ? i was thinking also i have 10mm pump that i have swaped 11mm head with de143, so if i would like to upgrade to 12mm, so i ineed head from lets say crafter vw, and swap it and use de143 ? :) no need to swap advancing valve?

I was thinking to swap to 12mm head, so i just swap head from vw crafter with 12mm, and keep my de143 right?

I think I'm limited to around 240-250hp beacouse my rods are PD100s...noy sure about it really...i read lately some are holding much power...

Do you know how many hp max with 260 & 280 nozzles and 11mm pump?

Thanks

I got 300 bhp with 11mm pump and Ultime 2 which are propably ~.28mm. Pump wasn't maxed out. There was at least 10% more power to gain.

I have one of jimbote's heads (thanks Jim!) on an 11mm pump (DE143) with the 2.5mm delivery valves from my old 10mm pump. Giles put it together for me with advanced piston travel and maxed fueling. It's a great pump, but I think my Titan 502 nozzles (supposedly an early batch with higher flow than R520) are just too small for it.

Buy the .280 and set to 250-340 bar a bit big nozzel they do 250 easy with good egt
Better to have big nozzels than to small

So guys it's coming time for me to do the swap. One piece of info I can't seem to find info on is which springs I should use. Somewhere I read that the 10mm springs are stiffer. But I don't know for sure if that is true. What ones would be optimal?

My low-smoke tune on the dyno is already well over 200 HP during emissions tests. Haven't measured it with the race tune loaded yet.
What about the 0.320? Bigger is always better, no? :D
I do have a few supporting mods with room to grow. http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?p=5038709

Rocks!
I have injectors set to 270bar, do you think so high pressure has negative effects on the injection event if 11mm+0.260?

For what i know, 12mm camplates are less agressive (i don't know if this is the correct word) than DE143 one... Not a good option i think...

See I've read the opposite. But the thread that mk183 posted, in response to me asking him about the 12mm camplate, talks about the de657 plate. My 12mm iveco pump came with a de643 and I can't find a shred of info on it.

Hey . and the shoulder on the head at the pumps the same? I have a 12mm plunger in pump 0460404986 + de143 + pump in the tank from the pd130 + 0.320 sprays. whether it makes sense to cast further and with a pump, or it will be enough for 300 horsepower?

So I got the head swapped in. The first thing I noticed was how much louder the engine is with the 12mm. I mean the noise level has probably doubled. Did you guys notice this when you swapped heads?

Hmm well it sounds like the timing has become more advanced. Higher pressure from the bigger plunger would equal a shorter injection duration which would advance timing, does that sound correct? It dosnt sound bad, like somethings off. Just way more diesel clatter, it sounds awesome:D way more low end torque to!

This morning when I cold started, the engine fired way faster than before. I had to crank for about a half second at the longest:D

Go with the 12mm cam plate and if you know of a good diesel pump guy! you can also get a plate with even more lift with less steep profile , plus the pop pressures needs to be optimised with head cam and size of nozzles used......................Also depending on how big you have gone with your turbo also needs to be taken into account.

I am riding DE643. This cam have longer lift for approx. 10°. So if you change SOI map correctly and set fuel pump correctly, you will be surprised.
