My mom went to her accountant today and he said that they were limited to 60,000 cars. They supposedly hit that with 2010 models so 2011s will not qualify. Considering my buying experience was ****ty enough, I am very irritated. I bought my car back in November and didn't wait a few months mainly for the tax credit. Seems like some false advertising considering the commercials I was seeing at the time and my sister also bought one in November and was told she'd be eligible as well.

If your mom didn't get the message mixed up the accountant is misinformed on many points and I would no longer trust them. Here is all the info on tax credits I have collected on 1 easy page with links to the IRS for the official references.

A 2011 purchased in 2010 will qualify.
