Hi! My car went into limp mode and as per VCDS, it is turbo problem and am guessing actuator change would fix.

I have got the actuator and have managed to remove air filter box and the black pipe that comes from right of turbo (am in Norway so driver seat opposite to that of UK, in case; not sure if this makes a difference in engine bay). Beyond that, it is extremely tight. How is the bottom nut of actuator removed? I see no space at all beneath. Is it removed from under the car?
Please guide me to any instruction page if it exist. I see MK4 and that of 2.0 diesel though. Thanks

As a possible, significantly easier work-around, have you tried/explored the zip-tie mod? Common issue with an easy to try semi-temporary "solution". If you have already eliminated this option, just ignore.

In my case it worked for 3+ years and 40k miles. Was still working fine when the car was sold (with disclosure).

Several discussions related to this here and on myturbodiesel. Here is just one starting point:

Test the actuator first using a vacuum pump tool. Mine would not hold vacuum so therefore was no good. It was chalanging to replace, dealer won't change them and wanted to replace the whole turbo.
