1.6 TD Pump dead - can I use non TD pump?

Can I transfer the "boost bell" to the non TD pump?

What could have caused the pump to die?

The first pump died too, and my mechanic blamed it on the veggie fuel that I occasionally used.

Now this pump (well I changed the whole engine with one from my previous, crashed car) gave up in less than 1000 miles.

I will change the whole tank, but what could be chewing the pump up?

Yes, if you want to be stuck with 61hp ....

The NA pump doesn't have the boost enrichement device. Basicly, wou'll get what is called in the US, an ECO-Diesel .....

Try to find another TD pump.

So I can't transfer the boost enrichment device?

You could swap over the pump tops yes, but you'd also need to swap the governor lever as well (the TD one has an extra arm to contact the reverse lever from the boost enrichment device)
A lot of work, especially as you'll then need to get the pump set up, I'd guess that the transfer pressure is lower on the non- turbo...
