Party Poopers and Ginger Ale - woohoo!

(Do we need a separate food thread this year?)
I miss Julie's famous Hamsterbrownies and also the poo cookies.

Lisa and I won't be able to make it to the Ho5G this time. We will be driving back to NH from Cocoa Beach FL on 1/1/16. I wish we had planned to be down in FL a few days earlier because we could have watched the SpaceX rocket launch and landing(!) at Cape Canaveral.

Sorry to hear Jeff's not coming, was hoping to get the Audi chipped and it's always good to see him. I'm planning to be there around mid day if all goes well. The weather sucks big time today with snow and freezing rain, I understand Friday's going to be sunny.

I'm good for shrimp cocktail as always.

TooRound breaking radio silence to say I will be there! (thanks to Veedub for the heads up text) Sad I missed Fest and I still dont have a TDI. Well I do but its not in a car yet. Gonna have to blast up there in my Fozzy (old faithful) for now. Anyone have any interest in stock MK3 parts? Got: a beaver dash, not cracked a rust free rad support I also have a VNT15 with 85k on it from my Beetle that just needs the vanes cleaned the EGR cooler from the same car Ill check the thread on Weds to see what we need for food and update that then.

I have some beautiful Monster Mats for an A4 Golf, as well as the original carpet mats that I never used. Would anyone be interested in them?

Given my old mats gave up the ghost recently, I may be interested, I think these will fit an A4 Jetta also ?? (assume they just say golf vs jetta on them?)

Do people have a preference? I can bring cheesy corn (not vegetarian), or Italian sausage or Hoffman hot dogs (white or "normal") fresh from Syracuse.

I'll try to bring some Christmas cookies if I can wrench them away from my dad. ;) He is keeping close tabs on them, so no promises.

I've invited CFM to bring his Saturn TDI this year as I have in years past but he's still not taking the bait this time around either. Also invited a B4 acquaintance of mine that was there last year, but this time he'll have his B4 and not a Buick, lol which I'm sure I'l be farting around on, possibly polishing the headlights and doing a few simple headlight mods. It needs blend doors, but that job it too big for such a festive day. I'll figure out something for food soon, probably a round shape.

My husband will be coming with me, so you can add him to the list as well. I plan on bringing pumpkin pie, and a smoked pork loin. And probably some beer.

Ok, good. That's easy and you can keep the extras!

It looks like our vehicle is back down to Jason and me + Haru this year. Tomo and Sara can't make it this time.

If I do come out,is anyone interested in any B4 parts? I'd plan on bringing whatever I have left. Also,I have a new Everstart battery I put in about a month before it was totalled(date code on battery is 12/14)-I'd just want a little cash and your older battery in exchange. I'll check back in tomorrow night, and let you know what food items I'll bring.

Hi, relatively new member here who would like to attend, get to meet experienced tdi diesel owners, and do some learning - "novice" is generous in my case. I live in central Maine and will be driving down in one of my 2003 TDI 5sp Jetta wagons. I'll post main dish and dessert on the food thread. Here's to another Jetta adventure!

Lawson, Haru, and I are finally on the road. Getting the alignment done took longer than expected.

No go for me:mad:...the front bearing got louder today as I was running errands, and there is a little play in the wheel now.....so I'm not going to chance it,need to look at some YouTube vids on replacement,I did buy the HF front wheel bearing kit,so I'll see how much swearing I'll be doing today and tomorrow:rolleyes:.....have fun tomorrow! Maybe if there's one next year,I'll be back in a TDI;).....I might have to see if n8ronj's is still for sale....

I have that same kit and it works very well, just make sure to grease the main shaft well before use. I found a bearing splitter is handy for when/if the bearing pulls apart.

Good luck!

Got Tom on the road around 4:30. He's at the GW Bridge now. Should be there around noon. Have fun all.

Back to work for me!

I should be there around 2pm.

Is there anyone that wants to help me diagnose an odd vibration at idle? We thought it was injectors but they have been replaced with no improvement. I'm at a loss.

I'll take a look. I'll trade you the steelies if no one else wants them (only kidding, but I am interested in them if they're not spoken for. Never can have too many).

Happy New Year to everyone. I'm on my usual FL Trip although this year due to time constraints, it's an air-trip instead of a road-trip.
