Hello Folks, Just got the AC issue fixed after replacing the Radiator. Replaced the compressor valve on the compressor. I had to remove the
compressor to get access to the valve and the retaining snap ring. Did not have the room or strength to remove in place. The ambient temperature sensor
had been accidentally ripped off in the Radiator replacement procedure . With your advise I replaced the sensor and this allowed the compressor to cycle
and the valve open and close properly. AC is functioning good and I actually can drive in the summer heat.(even in Texas). I actually replaced my expansion bottle too, it had developed a leak at the upper bottle Nipple. Started having dead battery issues? NOW WHAT? Checked the voltage at the battery and alternator, determined my Battery was going bad. 280$ dollars later that problem has been fixed. The car is running good, but now I have some new CEL codes. I have misplaced or someone walked off with the laptop with my Ross software still have the dongle. I have a scanner I use for my other vehicles, it has the vw parameters downloaded and it recognizes the car and I was able to run a full diagnostics. Absolutely complete, I had all sorts of trivial issues showing up. The critical issues were engine electronics DTC(3) P1672 Fan 1 Control : Open Circuit/ Short Circuit to Ground, P0102, Mass or Volume Air Flow Circ: Low input, P1601, Voltage Supply Relay--Terminal 30: Implausible signal. I know you Folks will not be happy with me for using a Generic Scanner. Please use small sticks when you beat me on the head. I'm concerned that the small 1" diameter cloth hose beneath that plugs into the air box may be damaged. It had come loose after I removed the air box. Its difficult to put on when the battery is installed. Thinking that might be the issue for the Mass Air Flow Circ code? The others I don't have a clue.

Thanks, thanks for your past help too. I had a squeaking Serpentine Belt that was driving me nuts, replaced the tension er twice . You told me to check the alternator clutch. You were correct, I bow at your wisdom. Replaced the alternator with a spare I had laying around.

Yes, I cleared the codes. They stayed off until I reached my destination. Once I did my shopping they came back as soon as I started the car.

Haven't had any responses. Going to pull out my probe and check fuses and relays. Not sure the pass side fan is working. Still don't know about the mass airflow circuit is low? Maybe sensor is going bad?

Probably when you replaced the radiator you migth have messed something up on the fans assenbly?
With the car parked, engine running, turn on the AC, open the hood and see if both fans are turning.

Needed to post this update. Can't tell you what happened because I don't know. I had some codes then I cleared them once again. Probably been close to 500 miles and still no codes. I'm happy but perplexed. Thanks everyone for your help
