Hi! I accidently bought an 06 Jetta because some guy had a big mouth and I didn't know when they stopped putting the ALHs in the jettas. Whatever. I like TDIs and I'm learning a ton about the BRM. The Texas sun cooked the radio and I looked around at the oem upgrades, but I think I want to go aftermarket. Everything I'm reading is the thing to stay away from is the 1g or 2g units because they are slow. I don't mind spending money, but I only want to purchase one head unit. I want wireless android auto for navigation and Bluetooth music. Everything else is kinda whatever. I'm looking for positive reviews of aftermarket radios for the 06 Jetta.
Thank you!

Search RCD330 on Amazon and EBay. You’ll find something that will work. You will probably have to get a newer can gateway when putting an aftermarket radio in. Just something to be aware of if your battery starts going dead.

I agree. I have a RCD330 in my 06 and it its an OEM fit and look (canbus module upgrade is needed to avoid battery drain). Buy it from aliexpress, it's cheaper:

Wireless AA is not that common yet. I believe the rcd330 to still be the best bang for your buck
