Wow, great stuff. I bought the 06 Jetta in Jan.08 with 14,000 miles on it and had the dealer change the oil first couple times. I question if they are using the correct oil since the part number on my invoice is different that the correct vw part # for the correct oil. I have always changed my own oil on other vehicles, but was a little worried about a diesel. This information is very valuable to me. I hope you keep up the great work on this web site. Thank you.

2005.5-2006 Oil Change

Is there a way to get the tube from a Pella Oil Extractor down the dipstick tube on this TDI. On my 2003 TDi I never had a problem but it acts like there is a windage tray on the bottom of the engine stopping the Pella tube. I mostly pull air deflector and the drain plug but there are times I would like to just suck the oil out. Any suggestions?

I nuse my pella all the time. It came with three different size tubes and I use the largest one that will fit and have no problems.

what do you mean 'engine codes'??? BRM, BHW, ALH? they are not codes or short hand - they are the model.
