My 2002 Golf GL 5 speed 2 door "Unicorn" is available to a good home. I think $2,000 is fair but willing to listen to members here.
I bought this in 2019 with 165k and now it has 185k and counting. I had the TB (#3) done @170k based on time and not miles, and I have replaced the struts and bushings. It drives and handles great and has consistently gotten 45-49 MPG over the past several tanks. The AC just stopped working and it appears the AC clutch broke or sheared. I will investigate and may update or fix The clear coat is peeling, and the car has a really bad vinyl wrap on the hood courtesy of yours truly.
The car has an 11mm injection pump as I planned to do some upgrades. The tires have plenty of tread but two should be replaced based on signs of rot or age. The interior is pretty worn but serviceable. The glove box latch is broken. I replaced the aftermarket radio with a large screen CarPlay compatible unit, and installed a backup camera. It has a Panzer Plate.
The car has ZERO rust as far as I can tell, it was a Las Vegas car and has very heavy tint.
