hi all

I have a pinhole leak in my flex pipe, and apparently an undersized (non-factory) catalytic converter (which may be why the flex pipe developed a leak)

exhaust in the cabin - I'm driving with windows open

wondering best/cheapest stuff to swap in there - anyone know a good but affordable CC? source for flex pipe? is there anything smart to do here?

local place wants $300 just to do the flex pipe (!)

thanks,

My flex pipe was leaking pretty bad on my 2002 Golf so I had a good muffler shop weld in a new flex pipe for $325 CAD (after tax). Probably could have done it a bit cheaper if I bought parts myself (they bought a new gasket for $6, old one probably would have been fine, they also charged $60 for the flex pipe when I see idparts.com sells them for $25) but I wanted to let them do their thing. I notice that I cannot hear the turbo anymore, it must have been leaking a bit for a number of years then, I'm happy to have the car quieter. Power is the same.
