    FCM pin out

Hello All, I have a 1999 Beetle 1.9. I have been searching high and low for a pin out of the fan control module. Mine is a 10 pin module. Original part # 1JO 919 506 H. I have to borrow a vag-com I’ll have it in a few days. Everything I did was guess work. I didn’t realize what I was getting into. Just like anything else, I keep going until I figure it out. I’m just trying to get it back to stock settings. 🤞I appreciate every bit of info I get in this forum. 🙏

    Racing idle

After some patience, I got it to smooth out and idle right at 900 rpm. It’s extremely sensitive, but I seem to have better performance after replacing those gaskets. Thank you for your help!

    Rough idle

I replaced the two main gaskets on injector pump, and it’s running great, just a rough idle. I’m not sure what I did to make it idle like this. Also it’s sitting at 1k rpm when idling. I’m lost?????

Adjusting Engine Idle Speed - 101

99 ALH here, I replaced the 2 cover plate gaskets on the injector pump, and now my idle just keeps going up. I have to shut it off to keep it from increasing the idle. Any thoughts on what I did wrong?

    Valve cover gasket

Amazon sells a gasket, but it’s not recommended to replace it. It’s supposed to be a permanent gasket. If the gasket is like mine and in pieces, the Valve cover should be replaced. AUTOHAUZ AZ sells new ones for $75.00

I dropped off the head at German Auto in Phoenix. They are tdi specialists. Everyone in my area says if I don’t bring it to them I’m an idiot. Lol. Should be a week before I get it back.
