You can do it piecemeal with malone no problem. you only pay the difference in cost on tunezilla.
thats exactly what i did on my touareg. I had egr off only. then my adblue ****ed up and i did egr+adblue off.
Then i did dpf delete and did everything off.
swirl flap doesn't matter.
Their stuff is 304 stainless its very good and highly corrosion resistant.
You are thinking of Buzzken which has lower grade/less corrosion resistant stainless.
GDM kit was intended to clear a longer cp3 pump which they decided not to sell. the willy wonka piece deletes the bypass valve. and move it out to accomodate a longer pump. its an interesting design, but not worth even thinking about it. i lost way too many brain cells trying to deal with GDM.

My experience with Malone has been good on 2x gen2 3L TDIs with stage2/deletes. No issues, the Q5 i had is now owned by a friend and has over 180k miles and >100k on the tune with no issues.
