You could probably got the 2260VKLR made with a BMW turbine housing like the one on the right of the photo. But not all v bands have the same diameter.
KOLBENSCHMIDT P/N 40408620 / 40409620 are a popular choice around here, less than 500€ for the set.
But stock PD 130 pistons are fine for that HP if you enlarge the pot hole.
Yes, 180+ it's definitively possible, mine back when I had a gt1749vb was doing 192hp. It's a good upgrade over a GT1749V but not a life changing experience :D
Something like a GT1756VK it's a really nice upgrade and sits on the limit of the PD130 injectors but it's not plug and play like the...
You should hit those 180HP with nothing more than turbo, injectors, map sensor and a proper tune, some of the other bits are nice to have but not really essential.
If you can afford it get a stainless steel downpipe/decat from ebay, PD130/150 intake manifold with a egr delete pipe and...
Long story short I've ordered a new driveshaft for my Golf MK4 but the new one is only 30mm in diameter where the stock one is 42mm but hollow judging by the weight it's this alright?

Most people just machine the stock pistons to lower CR...never heard of anyone actually runing that kind of boost.
Custom pistons are available but they are pretty expensive... https://arrepiado.com/produto/vw-1-9l-2-0l-tdi-diesel-diamond-forged-pistons/
Nowadays an engine like the ASZ goes...
I have no idea, just bought the turbo. It doesn't seems to great for me i guess the hardest part now is going to find a replacement compressor wheel.
The compressor wheel is 68/50mm, it would be nice to find something that won't need machining.
It will have a decrease in HP because the ecu will not see the correct amount of airflow being used by the motor. When i did that mod on mine i went with a "mafless" tune.
