That sounds like a good combination! We'll work on my friend's new A6 one we installed the suspension and jeep wheels on the Wrangler this week. He doesn't want to lower it either.

We may try to repair the alternator harness on my friend's new Jetta 1.9 project if we can't find one at the local parts yard. We'll see after we finish the last mods on the Wrangler including the skid plates, jeep accessories, and winch.

It seems a new trans is a better route.

That's a great deal. My uncle is looking for an alternator and I'll mention that Bosch deal. We'll work on his Golf once we finish installing the suspension from 4Wheelonline onto the Wrangler and clear the garage.
