I have stage 2 and no dPF. I got a check engine light when I disconnected mine. I drove about 10 miles no problem but the light came on after I started the engine again. Definite improvement with it unplugged though. I'm going to contact someone and get a price quote for getting that tuned out.

Seems almost worth it to actually plan on reinstalling it. If I drive 2-300k miles before selling, I would save money even if it cost 500-1000 to have it reinstalled and the ECU returned. That is assuming that Without a delete I would have to have the DPF replaced in that timeframe.

Would a Malone stage 1 or 1.5 tune affect the DPF longevity?

I'm concerned about the DPF for a few reasons. I think it's an unreliable system that is going to be expensive later on. I also worry about the regen process. Luckily, I'm not in a city/county that requires emissions but that could change anytime.
