Yeah it's the correct clutched pulley - made by INA. They actually had several of them sitting on the counter in the office as well in various states of failure.

Bentley doesn't list or suggest testing resistance. It says "Check using scan tool". It also says each sensor is tested when the vehicle is started and a DTC will be stored if necessary.
Thanks guys. I re-crimped the factory clamp and it is tight again for now. I'll switch to a serviceable clamp if it loosens up again. I didn't notice the knurled part on the shifter as the previous owner had it covered with electrical tape!!
Yeah I'm sure the 2.5 gasser won't do nearly as well on fuel as the TDI. It is a 5 speed, so that may help.
