6/20 10:30 am is my buyback date. Great car, too much money to pass up. Never had any major issues with it, though it desperately needs new brakes, and tires ... but VW will have to figure that out.

Got mine done yesterday. I wouldn't say it feels more peppy, but the acceleration is noticeably smoother with few to no hiccups. I also had the sway bar bushings replaced so my overall ride is much better and that may contribute to the feeling.

I do take a pretty good hit with mpg. Snow tires, winter Diesel, rack, and roof box, and an extra cold winter, drop me to 35-36 mpg highway compared to 40+ in the summer.

I'll pile on with the snowtire love. I have 2013 as well. 16" steelies with General Altimax Arctic stud-able (but not) tires. I'm a skier so like to drive up to the mtns when it's snowing. Never gotten stuck (though turning off traction control if you are does help) and only time I have trouble...

Whatever they did, didn't work. The fact that there are 3 2013's in this thread with failures is a pretty good indication of that.

Talked to VW: 2013 is not covered by the extended warranty. I got the work done because my inspection was up and needed to get it fixed. Still going to send the bill in to VW on appeal and see if it gets anywhere.

Yeah I did. The warranty doesn't cover 2013. If there is an updated version of this that does state 2013 please point me to it.

Anyone had any luck getting a 2013 covered for this? I've only got 44,500 miles and they want to charge me $475 for the new flap.

I had all my O2 sensors replaced recently ... and it now has gone to on all the time. I'll report back when I go in.

This winter so far when it gets cold (teens and low 20"s) the CEL comes on. Once the temp gets back up over 30 it goes away. The engine seems to be running fine the whole time and nothing else obvious seems to be going on. Any clues? Haven't been able to get the code checked since it goes away...
